Hand Crafted Christmas Card for 2011

This card was created to test the glitter from Barbara Trombley's Art Glitter.   The background is mixed media of acrylic paints, embossing powders, tissue paper, and paper scraps.

Home For Christmas

Just dropped off my hand crafted cards to the Red Hook Gallery for the PaperWorks Exhibit coming up for most of December.   Beautiful art work from all local artists.   Please stop by if you are in the area.  Everything is reasonably priced for the holidays.

Following is a sample of my Home For Christmas cards.   Photo does not do justice to the brightness of this card which consist of watercolors, metalic paints and lots of very fine glitter for the snow.

TISSUEKITTY web site published

My "TissueKitty" web site has been published for viewing, comments and input.
I started this web site year's ago to advertise a fun toy that my cat just loves which is comprised of simple tissue paper.  Ah yes, simple - but my tissue paper is unbleached, environmentally friendly tissue paper.   Any profits that might happen to be generated by this product will go to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah.   They do such wounderful things for animals.  For example, they took the "VICK dogs" in for rehabilitation when other groups wanted to put them to sleep.

I am also using the site to make available my handcrafted cards. Refer to SERVICES on tissuekitty.com for samples.

Angel Card - Painted Transparency Technique

I created this card to sell at the Red Hook Community Arts Network PaperWorks show starting 12/1 in Red Hook, NY 12571.   Materials used:  transparency, black pigment ink, Twinkling H20's, Glimmer Mist, Spica Metallic pens, gel medium, embossing powder.

Instructions:  Stamp angel (PSX) with black pigment ink, sprinkle with black embossing powder, heat set.
Turn over transparency and paint the angel.   Cover with gel medium, add tissue paper and spray with mists, add other embossing powders, paints or what have you.  My tissue paper had little silver flecks in it which is what you see in her third eye center.  Splitcoaststampers.com has this technique in their resources page.  A great site!

Let dry overnight!

I mounted on white card stock, trimmed with gold "Pearl Pen" by Viva Decor and then on to lavender card stock by Stamping Up.
